The Human Algorithm
Frank Gould, May 2008
Does our human brain = a computer bio-machine?
zero-zero-one-zero-one-zero-zero-one-one-one
zapped from neuron to neuron, in robotic routine,
across open synapse to create each new emotion.
zero-zero-one-zero-one-zero-zero-one-one-one
silent binomial algorithm goes unfelt and unseen
across open synapse to create each new emotion
while we watch Psycho on the giant movie screen.
Silent binomial algorithm goes unfelt and unseen,
running round our brain, ordering what’s to be done.
While we watch Psycho on the giant movie screen.
Do we have choice or are our genes just having fun
running round our brain, ordering what’s to be done?
Can we love and loath, control revenge and spleen?
Do we have choice or are our genes just having fun?
With all those chemicals like serotonin & dopamine,
can we love and loath, control revenge and spleen?
Are we doomed to repeat this laser, smoking-gun
with all those chemicals like serotonin & dopamine
washing our brain while we deny the deal is done?
Are we doomed to repeat this laser, smoking-gun
zapped from neuron to neuron, in robotic routine,
washing our brain while we deny the deal is done?
Does our human brain = a computer bio-machine?
